Conflict Reflection

1)Why is conflict often an important part of a drama presentation? Explain.
I think that conflict is important in a drama presentation because you can have a lot of emotions, gestures and different tones when you talk and usually the conflict in a presentation is the most interesting part to the viewers and it makes them pay attention because some conflict could be fights and many people enjoy watching fights happen whether it is physically or verbally.

2)Give an example of one lesson when you created conflict in your drama scene and say how you did it. (pauses, gestures, action, dialogue etc)
The last presentation that we did involve conflict when two of the characters were arguing using dialogue and hand gestures and the whole topic was about to raise awareness.

     3) How did you demonstrate creativity in your final video task? Give examples of how you tried
new things or were thinking outside the box.
When we did our final video it was mostly the hand gestures and the dialogue that made it look creative because when we edited it at the end we made the sad scenes black and showed how it was a sad story.

     4) Do you think your message was clearly communicated in your video or could you have improved it? If so, how?
I think that in our video it did clearly show what the message was but we could have made it more creative and have less dialogue in the video and have one of our group voice record it to make it more interesting and unique, at the end of the video we did write down what the problem was.

     5) Think back to your performances at the beginning of term two, and now your current performances; do you think you have improved or developed any drama skills? (vocal skills such as: clarity of diction, inflection, accent, intonation and phrasing; pace, pause and timing; projection, pitch; emotional range, or physical skills such as movement, body language, posture, gesture, stillness, timing, control; facial expression; eye contact, interaction with other performers)

Yes, I do think that I have improved from the beginning of term 2 until now because I have found more ways of communicating and my vocal skills when I am preforming and depending on the scene, and I know now where to stand and how I should be positioned when I talk anot have my back turned. I now know that body language and using different getures is important and could add more effect on the play. I gained a lot of confidence during this term but I could use more emotion when I am preforming.

Reality TV reflection

1) How have your characterisation skills developed in this reality TV unit? (give examples)
I am now more confident with preforming in front of my class an change my personality. With my first video that i did as my character I was not exactly sure of how to actor what to say, but i had more practice through video's and now I understood what my character is meant to say or do. I have a better understanding of how to act like and my character has not really changed throughout the topic its juts the way I speak now is louder and I an now more confident in my character.

2) What target can you identify for yourself in order to improve on your characterisation skills next term?
I can practice my performances before doing the actual play to make it better for the audience and also now how to work with other people because everyone has their own way of understanding things so maybe if the whole group cooperated and communicated with each other it could always make the performance better. I could also improve with my blogs and write more to it and make it more detailed

3) How can you improve your homework when completing written work about the practical explorations in class?
I can video or picture everything that we did in class so I wont forget what happened in class and I will use more detail and information to explain my work and to make the person that is reading this understand exactly what is going on. I can include an evaluation in my work like what went well and what went bad and what needs improvement in our play.

4) What have you most enjoyed about this unit?
I enjoyed working with my friends and my classmates and making the video's more fun for us to watch. I also enjoyed being a different character that is not me because it is fun doing something that I am not used to be.

5) What was your greatest achievement in drama this term?
Achieving a 6 and working with many different people in a short amount of time

Reality TV debate

Wednesday 11th October 2017

Reality TV debate

1) Do you think reality TV is more 'entertaining' than dramas or documentaries? Why/why not?

Yes I do think that reality TV is more interesting because this shows what really happens when people do not act and now you know how people act in real life towards other people in the show, but in my opinion i don't think that drama is the best genre there is, I prefer others more than documentaries, dramas and reality TV.

2) What moral or ethical problems might there be with a programme like Big Brother that is filming its contestants 24 hours a day? Explain.
I think that it is not the most wise idea of having the cameras following the contestants everyday 24 hours and not giving them privacy, because I do believe that people should get privacy especially when they need to go to the bathrooms. I also believe that people would want to be alone at some point if there was a problem going on which usually happens in reality TV shows.

3) What reasons do you think some contestants might have for quitting a reality TV programme?
Some people might quit reality TV because of all the problems that there may be and for example Big Brother, some people may think that it si an invasion to their privacy. Also they don't want to get judged by the media and the people and maybe they cant handle the hate that they are getting.

4) How 'real' is the action or coverage that we see in reality TV programmes? Explain.

As far s we can see everything looks real but sometimes they could plan things or a script behind the scenes thinking that it might entertain us. We can never fully trust the media because their could be rumours their could be lies but reality TV was meant for the truth behind everything.

Emotional Entrances

Question:                                                                          8/10/2017

Emotional Entrances

a) Explain one moment where you are using body language in an obvious way to indicate your emotional reaction to the situation. (What are you doing exactly and why?)

When it was the first time to walk into the Big Brother House and it was a shock for me and my character is a person who is in love or obsessed with how she must look and how others look and judges them by their outside (like their cloths, hairstyle, if their makeup is done correctly etc..) So for that moment I was in a shock which means i opened my mouth slightly but i was always playing with my hair but also seeming shocked. I did this to show  my character is self obsessed but at the same time express my emotions.

b) Write an honest response in character of how you feel about one of the other people you have just met in the house.

I thought that they were all different and most of them didn't even have a taste in fashion and I have problems with people who don't wear the things that I like. The French guy was too weird and obsessing over his pants that didn't even look that good, the wrestler was too aggressive and violent to talk or even live with me, but the only one that i don't mind was the singer, song-writer girl because just like me she loves style and cares about her look which is who I am looking for being friends with.

 c) Describe what your character felt upon entering the house and their response to it and initial thoughts.

As soon as i stepped into the house I was shocked because it was so big and full of luxury which i definitely what I am looking for. I stepped inside and then i saw the amazing stairs which lead to where I met everyone. I first thought that they would be a bunch of normal people but then I met that celebrity who is a singer-song writer and actress and that when i thought that we were going to get along just great, that if none of the other people come in and ruin everything while we are enjoying our time here.

This is when I first came in
This is when the singer/songwriter came and we met for the first time
This is when we all met together

Sorry Miss but when i tried to upload the video it said that it was too long and I did not know which part to cut out.
